Superheated steam dryers

The technology is based on the principles of superheated steam drying. Liquid or sludge is transported into the drying chamber, where it is heated with superheated steam to the boiling level and water evaporates from the product.

This technology has several benefits compared to direct air dryers, e.g. low energy consumption, high potential of energy recovery, low potential of product oxidation, negligible emissions to air and eliminated or very low explosion risk.

MVR

MVR or mechanical vapour recompression is a technology where the vapour is compressed in a compressor or fan to a higher temperature and pressure. This compressed vapour is then used as energy source instead of boiler steam.

The EPCON SHS dryer can be delivered with MVR technology, which provides an energy saving in the range of 60-90%. EPCON has more than 20 years of competence in MVR technology.
